COUNTDOWN TO INDEPENDANCE DAY!

Post by Chalgrish »

As you all know, Independance Day is 3 days away. It's a celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independance. We also light off fireworks as a celebratory tradition derived from its Chinese roots. Now, I would like to ask the owners of the taverns, Serenity and Exanderous, to collaborate and try to come up with a celebratory tradition as I know you both have been Forum-surfing for a number of months. If anyone would like to assist, that would be great. And as a side-note, don't work yourselves out! I know that I want to spend the 4th of July with my family, and I'll bet you all do too. I would also like to help Serenity and Exanderous in any way that I possibly can.

This has been Chalgrish, bidding you, Adieu

Note: because of what Tourniquet has informed me, a belated celebration would be just as good if not better because we(yes I mean WE) will have more time to work out the ideas, plans and such

On on-line forums it's best to let these thing stretch over about a week to allow everyone a decent amount of posts. :-)

We shall see, Chalgrish, as most of us have plans and other duties to attend to first. We must also remember that not everyone here is an American, though I'm sure that will not prevent anyone from partaking in festivities if they are offered.

Perhaps a more feasible option can be devised that would not be based around a particular holiday, but instead would honor the creation and success of our newly moved community. I'm sure then we would be far less limited as to the timeline it could be done in.

Oh, time for me to step in with my historical facts. Independence Day is actually not the true day when the Declaration of Independence was signed. As I recall, it is either the day it was started to be signed or the day when it was finished being signed. Take your pick. I'd look it up, but I'll leave that up to you so you can prove me wrong.

Chalgrish, since you were the one to suggest this, you need to take the initiative and set a good time (and remember, we are not all in the same time zones) and date for the festivities.

This way if a problem arises people can let you know and we can get it all sorted out. It would be fun though, so please don't give up on the idea. I can't remember the last time we were all online together.

And I'll talk to Tempest about the awards night Touniquet. It was the Admin who started it last time, right? Maybe we can get Keyla back here for it! She's been gone for awhile...I bet Draches scared her away with his nail polish and ribbons.

*Is glad she is not the only one who spells 'nonsense" wrong*

Doesn't it seem like it should be "none-sense" as in it makes no sense.... :?

Ah well...

*Puts on her camo and whips out her Keyla radar super duper tracking machine*

So, is anyone still in favor of having a party at Forger's? I'd like to know so I can hire the excavation crew the next day... lol Or at least put up an announcement before hand.
