The pieces of the stick formed themselves together again.

"Torment!" Malchios suddenly appeared, squealing in agony.

"I told you, you would regret this!" Lifting Malchios up with a movement of his hand, Nightshade threw himself out of the door.

"Barrier!" Nightshade was suddenly covered in an aura. "Now that pest will not bother me."

Continuing to read his spellbook, Nightshade hummed a merry tune.

Chalgrish watched as Nightshade and Malchios fought. When Malchios was writhing in agony, he let loose with an arrow that struck Nightshade's spellbook, setting it on fire.

Chalgrish walked over to his friend and placed his palm on Malchios's forehead. Malchios stopped thrashing and then relaxed as He was placed back in his chair.
