hi, i've been doing some research on dragons for a book i'm writing, i remember reading somewhere that dragons have the ability to shapeshift into human form but haven't found any information to back this up, i was wondering if anyone knows if they can actually do this or its just made-up thank you.

well, in chinese legend dragons could shapeshift into any form...and i have read books where dragons shape shift, but personally i only think that asian dragons can shape shift.

if I posted it one I posted it a lot. I love when I start looking for things like this....

Parts of this.... (some of this may help)
http://www.monstropedia.org/index.php?t ... _humanoids

Check this creature out..... (this one can do what you ask)
http://www.monstropedia.org/index.php?title=Sisiutl

Also this one.... (not really what you want, turns into a troll like creature. but it may help)

Jeez Vamp, I couldn't tell. *grins*

Anyway...I know that half-dragons, (no, Im not sure how that works) can shift between very human-looking creatures into, like...very large komodo dragon like creatures. No wings, no flames or anything amazing like that, but they're practically bulletproof, and can rip a car in half like tissue paper. Oh, and have a jaw like a vise. Literally, they can bite clean through a vault door.

Nasty experience with half-a-dozen of 'em down in Australia. *shiver*

Well, since most people concider dragons to be made up fairy tales anyways. I think it would be perfectly alright to have them do just about any gosh-darn thing you'd want them to. Unless you just want to go along with what mytholagy says. Thats the beauty of writing yur own book. what you write is totaly up to you.

:D

Well yes games like D&D (and the like) they do. And I agree if it is a fiction book, they can do what ever you want. All you have to do is remember to keep to the rules of your world.
