Amy's dragon

Well I look to the stars tonight again
And I think of how long it's really been,
Since I've seen the dragons, my friends of the sky,
And I have to sit back and wonder why.
Why did they vanish? Why did they die?
Why couldn't they wait until this night?

For I need them tonight to take me away,
So my lover and I can finally say,
The things that our hearts so desire,
To test our love by dragon fire.
To search our destiny, to see if there can be,
Any hope in our future for a family.

Cause I'll no longer be haunted by the things I've done,
For this time I know that I've finally won.
For I've found someone among the hearts of men,
I've found the soul of the most beautiful of women.
Someone who can understand what I feel,
Someone whose love is finally real.
Someone who will be there on the brightest day,
Someone who from my heart the world can never take.

So I call to my friends to visit my dreams,
To take me to the heavens where I can fly with she.
So we can leave this earthly plane behind,
So we can get to what's true and real in our lives.
Now I call to the dragons and I beg that this time,
Amy's dragon be the one that's right.
