I know I haven't been on in long while, and I hope it hasn't offended anyone. I still don't know when I'll be back, but I hope it'll be soon. I can tell you I've never had such a hard time hooking up internet service in my life.

We're currently waiting to see if time warner will be extending it's services out to where we live since DSL doesn't go out there. Can you believe that? I still can't really believe it. I was under the impressing DSL could go anywhere your phone service could.

Any who, we won't know anything about time warner until about three months from now, and even then we don't know if they are going to reach out as far as we live.

The only options we know of is dial up and something like dish network.

With a four computer network, the band with would be too strained to handle it on broadband and, I really don't want to break down and get a dish just for the net.

As we all know having the net on a dish means you only have the net on days the weather is perfect. We don't exactly get a lot of perfect weather over here so I'm sure you get the picture on that.

If anyone has any suggestions on something else to try I'd be glad to hear about it.

Talk to you guys when I can toodles.

Aw. . .sorry to hear about your predicament. DSL does kinda suck in that sense. My mom has DSL, but the line stops in front of her house. So anybody up the road from her can't get it. You could always try cable. Some cable companies around my area also offer internet. Comcast is one of them. So I would try them if their in your area.

I hope you get everything settled soon. Miss you on the boards!

Hey there friend! It is good to see you.

I hope all is going well! In regards to your internet situation, well you are in a bit of a bind. I would recommend something like Comcast, but it is the equivalent of $45-60+ dollars a month just for internet. The service is legit, but the price blows. So in that means it is not always feasible.

Um you could always try Verizon or other cell phone companies as well as they provide internet too as long as you get cell phone service there I've seen USB drives that provide the computer with wireless as long as they are within cell phone service

That is a good idea, but it must be noted that they do charge you an additional amount to your bill for this service, and it is not always cheap (especially with Verizon.)

I will just add that Verizon just loves to pick any orifice on your body and have at you as long as it can before walking away without ever looking you in the eyes. It is a terrible company in this writer's opinion.

Don't get me wrong my good friend, it was a great suggestion. If Verizon did now whore you out and charge hidden fees for everything I would even second it. haha.
