To Fly on the Back of a Dragon

To fly on the back of a dragon,
it is a marvelous thing.
To feel the thump of his heartbeat,
and feel the beat of his wing.

A sudden rush of excitement,
as you fly on his back.
Great feelings of enlightenment,
that conventional flying lacks.

Flying over the countryside,
away from lights and noise.
You'd find a nice little quiet place,
away from hollering boys.

There you'd sit and eat your lunch,
sitting on the grass.
What might the loyal dragon eat?
Any cattle that chance to pass.

You'd fly to distant cities,
away from the USA.
On the dragon that's witty.
Peru? Maybe not today.

To fly on the back of a dragon,
it is a marvelous thing.
To feel the thump of his heartbeat,
and feel the beat of his wing.
